Marlec receives the Sailing Today Award at the Southampton Boat Show 2016.
The award was presented to Teresa Auciello by Sam Fortescue, editor of Sailing Today who said, “This is an important award for Sailing Today, and our editorial team pondered nominees from electric-motor manufacturers to environmentally-friendly boat cleaners. In the end, though, our unanimous choice was the Rutland 1200 – the latest wind turbine from renewable energy specialists Marlec. The new 1200 has very low start-up speeds, excellent power output at higher wind speeds and near silent operation – the wind turbine trifecta. And all built in Britain.”
Accepting the award on behalf of the company Teresa, Sales Director for Marlec said that “This is a real coup for our design team, they have pushed the boundaries in the technical areas of aerodynamics and electronics to achieve the power and silence of the Rutland 1200 that our yachting customers quite rightly demand.”
