Off-grid pumps can be powered using either wind or solar only systems, or a hybrid wind and solar solution. The size and type of system depends on your location and the specifics of your remote water pumping application. The Marlec team can provide a full pump system for you, or help you design your own solution using our off grid power products including Rutland Wind Turbines and our range of solar panels. As long as your system is sized properly this can be a cost effective solution for use when your water source is too far from a grid connection.
Simple systems can be battery free so that pumping occurs when there is sufficient sunshine.
Alternative systems can use batteries to store power for use with more critical systems to run the pump exactly when you need to. Inverters can be included to allow the use of AC pumps and other appliances at your site.
