Marlec Announces the Launch of PV Home Energiser Kits

We are pleased to announce the launch of a range of systems designed to bring solar energy into homes and businesses throughout the UK.

Users will see immediate savings on energy bills from just a 500Watt 3 panel kit to a 3.5kW 20 panel kit.  Just this month the UK Government announced that the long awaited “Feed in Tariffs” would become effective from April 2010.  These have been called “Energy Cashbacks” and will allow consumers and business owners to sell electricity back to the grid at a premium rate!

As the UK Authorised Distributor of BP Solar panels for nearly 20 years we will be using only these high quality photovoltaic panels combined with other quality components which we will assemble and test in our factory in Corby.

London Boat Show 11th Jan – 20th Jan 2009

The London Boat Show will be our opportunity to launch all the new products and demonstrate them to the public early in the new year. Organisers of the boat show have rearranged many stands and this year for the first time the electronics section will be located in the North hall where all the marine retailers can also be found.

Rutland 504

Look out for deliveries of the new style Rutland 504 Windcharger.

The Rutland 504 has a streamlined new shape which improves the flow of wind to the turbine. The longer tail fin holds the turbine into wind thus improving performance delivering power for more of the time.The new model is automatically replacing orders for the previous Rutland 503.

Spectraflex 32

Popular demand for flexible panels have led us to extend our Spectra range to

include the Spectraflex 32. The 32W solar panel fills a gap between the Spectralite range of up to 20W and the SunWare higher power range. The new product will be stocked at Marlec and dealers from December 08.

Sunsei Battery Maintainers

The Sunsei SE150 is a popular trickle charger for maintaining

batteries. They are simple to place in windscreens and prevent batteries from deep discharge whilst unattended for long periods.

Typically suitable for batteries up to 50Ah. These are now available from Marlec and through our dealers.

New Marine Mounting Kit Stays

At last! The last pieces in the kit. No more shopping elsewhere to

complete the kit for fitting a Rutland Windcharger on board. The stays kit supports the main windcharger pole to give a professional finish to the installation. The kit includes stainless steel tubes, hinged clamps for easy rail fixing and rubber inserts to cushion any possible vibration.

Kits will be available from December 2008.

The latest dual battery charge controller for Rutlands and up to 160 Watts of solar panels was launched at the 2009 London Boat Show. This single device allows boat owners to combine wind and solar power in one simple to connect controller. We have retained other popular features such as the turbine/solar shutdown switch and introduced multistage charging and temperature compensation so you get maximum charge capacity into your battery bank. The HRDi Charge Controller is availble from January 2009, ask your dealer for it when you order your Rutland.
