A charge controller fitted to your system will ensure:

… so if the batteries become fully charged in your absence from the site the batteries will not be overcharged.
We recommend deep cycle lead acid batteries, sealed or non-sealed. Marlec offers a range of both Gel Sealed and AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt)Sealed batteries. Contact us for details of the current range.
Cable thickness depends on the overall length used between the windcharger and regulator/battery. For distances up to 20m a cable thickness of 2.5mm is recommended. The regulator should always be positioned within a 1.5m cable run from the battery to minimise voltage losses and ensure accuracy of voltage regulation.
